Robert, Bailey’s Dad, is also suffering from the loss of his wife and turns to sex to provide some meaning. Bailey, meanwhile, has developed an unhealthy obsession with Katie, using masturbation as a form of relief.

Robert’s sexual endeavours are spiralling out of his control and, despite warnings from a friend, he continues to pick up inappropriate women, culminating viagra soft in him meeting Rebecca and Danielle in a club. Danielle is horrified that a man of 46 is attempting to score with them, whilst Rebecca is drawn in by his attention. Inevitably, the proverbial shit hits the fan when Bailey discovers her in the morning!

Nudity is frequent, as is masturbation, but somehow it does not seem seedy. I am still not convinced that the elderly “Friends of Cinema No 6” were won over by the graphic nature and harrowing plot of the film, as many gasps were heard from their row! Fantasising about a dead girl is never going to be easy to film or portray but Jack gives his all and Fiona Ryan as Katie, is mesmerising.

Shot in black and white, Love You Too is a stark illustration of a teenage boy precariously balanced on the outside of adulthood, peer groups and mental stability. At points I was reminded of Cathy Come Home, which was also a monochrome snapshot of the isolated underdog. buy drugs online The soundtrack, provided by mostly local artists, (Hold Fast, Bemis, Karen Harmony, Isaac Ray) was at times a little too loud, but fitted well and aided the film’s appeal.

Whilst Love You Too is not quite a masterpiece and wouldn’t get a nod at the Oscars, it is an admirable debut from a bunch of young actors, producers and directors. Rough round the edges, it provides an opportunity for reflection and discussion, or maybe even revulsion, and once the end credits are rolling, a deep breath must be taken (a la Requiem for a Dream) but I am assured the next film, also starring Jack Gary Davenport, will be a comedy!!
